The permanent departures of Ian Maatsen, Lewis Hall, and Omari Hutchinson, all of whom spent spells out on loan last season, have generated around an additional £85 million to work with.

With the Copa America and European Championship concluding over the weekend, the expectation is that the next month and a half will be even busier than the last for Chelsea.

All pending transfers are set to be completed before the end of July, and Enzo Maresca has made an effort to secure Nico William ahead of Barcelona who are losing the race in signing him.

Now, it’s left for Enzo Maresca to finalize the deal, as the player says yes to Chelsea, but the bid is said to be what is holding the blues at the moment.

Adding such a prolific option to Chelsea’s squad will be a great boast, and Enzo Maresca will undoubtedly have a lot of options to choose from next season.
